Design

  • Mobile first – 62% are visiting website on mobile, 33% on desktop

  • Simplify fonts and colors

  • Tone: clean balanced with with a richness of character

    • REI, Filson, Patagonia,

    • Upscale adventure brands

  • Rethink top banners - don't like how artwork takes up half the page

  • Less reliance on graphics - cleaner, more photographically driven… reduce cacophony of graphc noise

  • Very horizontal experience - how do we avoid this? Think more vertical?

  • Thumbnail for a blog/event looks great.. But when you click into page it looks cut off and bad against text.

UI/UX/Content Org

CMS

  • Want less ability for ministries to upload their art. Less reliant on graphics, more reliance on photography. Eg.. Kids ministries logo on page is wrong file type

  • Type in reengage and get three different sizes of the file size… looks AWFUL - preload ministry logos. Ministries pick vs. upload their own

  • Repository of official logos

  • Want ability to schedule out banners/featured item change outs vs. having to manually update in real-time. Make clock reactive to daylight saving

  • Ability to execute within Style guide for featured items, background imagery, headlines, blog entries, etc

CONTENT GAPS

  • Top Ten as a downloadable resource

  • Add recommended messages to watermark.org/live - live scroller of ‘want more messages visit watermark.org/media” - list of recommended messages

  • Incorporate the connection card with live stream?

  • Watermark News as click-able/dynamic resource?

  • Areas to focus on - elevate

  • New here

  • Make it easier to get to The Current and Click & Pray

  • TreeFort and Coffee Shop need more of a presence

  • Remove QuestCare?
